ASB Elections

Image result for Student Speech

This week was our ASB elections. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders gave speeches during an assembly on Tuesday in hopes of earning votes for positions such as 6th grade representative, 7th grade representative, and Vice President. The counseling department was hugely impressed with both the strength and bravery of those speaking in front of the entire school, and the respect shown by the audience. Ask your student about whom they voted for and why? Ask what they heard in the speeches. How scary would it be to speak in front of a crowd like that? What makes a great student leader? How can students are do not participate in ASB as an officer still act as leaders within the school?

Enjoy your conversations! And, as always, we’re here if you have questions or concerns. David Keller (360)662-2344; Morgan Collins (360)662-2343; and Linda Roberts, Counseling Secretary, (360)662-2340.
