Summer Goals

Image result for summer time teens

Only two weeks and one half day of school left! Kids are getting pretty excited for the impending summer, so this might be a great time to start talking about making this summer the best ever. Summer is a great time to have a relaxed balance of fun and useful activities. Talk to your kid about that balance in your family; what will you be doing for fun? What could they do to stay sharp academically? What books will they read? What other useful activities could they do? Volunteering? Making a little money doing extra work around the house? For our 8th graders, are they going to take advantage of the awesome summer school opportunities? There are fun, free ways to earn .5 credit to get a jump start on high school! Click here for more info. Just like we made SMART goals a few months back, your family could make some SMART summer goals!

Enjoy your conversations! And, as always, we’re here if you have questions or concerns. David Keller (360)662-2344; Morgan Collins (360)662-2343; and Linda Roberts, Counseling Secretary, (360)662-2340.
